Roles
Regular users do not open Admin Center. They still see Billing for plan and usage if they need it, but only owners and administrators can start checkout or open the billing portal.
Groups
On the Team plan or higher, administrators put users into groups. Each group has:- Classification level — the highest sensitivity members may read
- Categories — which parts of the library they can see
- Can create documents — whether members may upload
- Allowed models — which chat models they may select
- Members — users in the group (administrators are not assigned as group members)
Group governance requires the Team plan or higher. On Free and Starter, invite people as needed and use classification plus categories on each file, but per-group category and model limits are a Team feature.
Classification ranks
Administrators define named levels (for example Public, Internal, Confidential) with a numeric rank. Higher rank means more sensitive. A group’s classification level is the ceiling for what those members can retrieve. When you upload, pick the level that matches the file. Do not mark sensitive content as a lower level to make it easier to find.Chat filters vs permissions
Composer filters (classification, category, tags) are optional and personal. They cannot override groups. If a document is missing:- Confirm you are in a group that includes its category.
- Confirm the file’s classification is at or below your group’s level.
- Clear chat filters and ask again.
- Ask an administrator to check group settings in Admin Center.
